A note about this tour from our Travel Designer, Debbie

This 10-day Greenland tour feels like an invitation into one of the world’s most powerful landscapes and stories. You begin in Kangerlussuaq, stepping into wide tundra, ice caps, and the kind of vast silence that reminds you what “wild” really means. Then you move toward coastal life in places like Ilulissat and Sisimiut so you experience both solitude and community, glaciers and harbours, nature and culture in close companionship.

One of my favourite parts is the chance to walk to the edge of the Greenland Ice Sheet on Day 1 and experience that raw scale — ancient blue ice, meltwater, wide open sky. Later when we float among towering icebergs at Ilulissat, or hike through Sermermiut Valley and listen to stories of Inuit settlement life, those are moments I believe will stay with you. There is adventure here but always with room to breathe, to be present, and to feel the land.

The village explorations like in Oqaatsut or Sisimiut bring warmth. Meeting people whose lives are still shaped deeply by traditions of hunting, fishing, carving, and gathering make this more than a view-based holiday. On a quieter note, wildlife watching, optional Northern Lights, cooking with local ingredients or simply walking by the fjord all add texture to the journey.

What I appreciate most about this itinerary is how it blends intensity with comfort. You do not rush past Greenland’s highlights but you are never overwhelmed. If you want a trip that is striking, soulful, and deeply rooted in nature and local culture then this experience is one I would enthusiastically recommend.
