A note about this tour from our Travel Designer, Debbie

This 21 day journey is one of those rare trips that feels as rich on the inside as it is dramatic on the map. Over three weeks you cross Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland and finish in Iceland. You move between cities, coasts, fjords, islands, wilderness and modern design landscapes in a way that lets you taste the Nordics deeply and slowly.

In Denmark you begin with royal palaces, cafés by the water, colourful townhouses and design scenes. Copenhagen welcomes you with culture and calm. Then in Norway you enter fjord country. Cruising through narrow water-filled valleys beneath cliffs, riding fjord-view railways and visiting villages where the sea and mountains meet give you moments of awe.

Sweden adds layers of stories and islands. Stockholm feels alive with history and art, cafés and waterways. Archipelagos, design districts, leafy boulevards and vibrant food scenes make you want to linger at every stop. Finland shifts the rhythm again. Quiet forests, lakes, soothing saunas, old wooden towns, artisan workshops, open skies, and moments of reflection bring balance and stillness.

Then Iceland with its other-worldly landscapes — geysers, volcanic plains, black sand beaches, glaciers and waterfalls — gives a grand crescendo. Watching steam rise over thermal springs, seeing icebergs drift, walking by cliffs carved by lava and sea feel like stepping into Earth’s raw elements.

What I appreciate most about this itinerary is the way it combines iconic highlights with hidden corners. You are not just checking boxes. You have time to pause by a fjord, savour Nordic food in a little-known village, sit with silence under the northern sky. If you want a journey that is grand, varied, immersive and deeply memorable then this tour is one I would recommend without hesitation.
